Palengke headers: hunger is a media environment
Prices swing in marker ink. People look up while they wait for the scale. That glance is the ad.
A wet market is high dwell and high hunger. Print for abuse or do not print.
If the header cannot survive fish water, it was a shoot, not a posting.
Palengke media fails when the brief wants a clean photograph more than a dirty aisle. The entrance stall is a postcard. The third aisle is where the money moves. Book a run of headers in one commodity — fish, or vegetables — so the brand repeats while the shopper walks the same decision twice.
Operator rules
- Buy the aisle. One hero stall is a press picture.
- Use heavier tarp and sealed eyelets. Ice and steam are the weather.
- Put a sari-sari or carinderia fascia at the market gate. See the wall that still sells.
- Terminal markets need a second surface on the waiting wall. Read terminal walls.
Field kit
Go at 6:30 a.m. If you cannot stand the smell long enough to count stall numbers, you cannot supervise the posting. Rates sit closer to provincial fascia than to NCR corners unless the market feeds a city terminal.
